Hey folks, welcome to the new whine/general topic thread. Feel free to use this thread to discuss anything that is on your mind. Caregiving- related stuff, life after a loved one's death, your own emotional wellbeing. Whatever..........anything on your mind.
Don't do it Windy! Step away from the fridge with your hands in the air!
Miss Piggy diet......Never eat anything you can’t lift.
Works for me. Buy you do have to buy larger clothes occasionally.
Something is going wrong with this thought process.
Maybe you better just move on over here! :)
Just type myehealth. All one word.
Today another resident was intently working one instead of pacing about trying to escape -
Idle hands aren't good for the demented and yet so many of the residents are just left to sit all day without anything to do -
Although it could be far worse, It's still a lousy situation
Skip a day, stay home, wait for his call. He may not call. No stress.
I inspected his lunch tray which he said he could not eat and found macaroni and cheese and rice pudding. Total waste of a good three hours. Oh and I had purchased the wrong depends. I had gotten the ones that opened both sides instead of the ones with extra tabs you can tighten. He refused to let me show him how to fasten them and then put on. Oh well.
And, how about the "Don't call us, we will call you only if the test is positive."
Uh....lost in the mail?
The only place is in the toilet!
Ignorance is dangerous, imo.
How good is it when that envelope ends up in the damaged in transit section of the post office.
Heh heh heh....or Returned to sender, not deliverable as addressed! The lab has m o v e d .!!
That reminds me....where am I storing all those test supplies....another thing I could throw out.
I have been running very little this spring... his old body is acting up and back and hip problems are getting in the way.
Be sure to leave the Toblerone bar at home in the fridge or it will melt with all that running.
Wait, can you still run?
First, kudos to you for taking a morning walk !
I agree with Send, you are not out of the loop - it could just be mom has a bit more strength in the morning than other times of day
Sometimes the Viking won't even look at me if she's tired or zoned out, and when we say prayers she'll God bless Frick and Frack but not me
You showed up, that is what matters.
Sorry you feel out of the loop, but you are not. Instead, you are an integral part of your Mom's life, and I am so sorry there will be no rewards, awards, accolades, acknowledgement or thank you's coming from your Mom. That is why you have us, your caregiving buddies on AC.
You matter, your love for your Mom is apparent, and your concern for others does deserve a medal.
Maybe AC could put a medal amongst the possible "hugs" to send to you, because you deserve a good daughter medal and many hugs. imo.
