What else? Any ideas?
Coffee is plain and simple with non-dairy, but I limit it and now add boiling water, called cafe americano. I cooked an entire fantasy plate of scones, but it shut down the kindle, it was so hot!
I must have told 4 people that I was going to bed, at different times later and later. I really tried.
I like a simple dark roast with milk and sugar, cream if I order out, nothing fancy. According to the web we canucks drink more coffee than just about anyone else in the world, following only the Netherlands and Finland. And why not, it's cheap, usually low calorie (no starbucks mega calorie concoctions allowed), warms you up in the winter and perks you up any time.
Have you an idea for today, Cwillie?
What kind of coffee did you bring?
Who else wants to go?
Goodnight Gershun! Goodnight Luckylu!
Tomorrow is another day!
I was having tea anyway.
Coffee in the mornings.
"a social occasion where people gather and talk about unimportant things".
There are actually coffee houses called coffee klatch.
It meant something more in the olden days of yore, I'm sure.
Your vacay sounds wonderful Lu-something for everybody.
Since I will be getting my Burmese mountain dog in Switzerland, I will enter it into the Iditerod race.
This is a group trip, right? I know that Stacey will love the Vegas part.
But Gershun is bringing her kitties, and getting her own Bermese, I think.
We might need to borrow a private jet to let the animals travel in style. Ok?
A Coffee Klatch sounds like a bunch of women yacking, drinking coffee. Is that right Send?
Maybe MsMadge knows.
Silly, huh, I know words, use them, but lately, cannot define them.
I am going to google Burmese dog retreat instead.
I've always wanted to live in a mountaintop chalet in Switzerland with a big roaring fire going all the time and hot chocolate laced with Bailey's laying on big fur cushions on the floor and my big Bernese mountain dog curled up beside me and my kitties curled up with him and all my besties there with me.
Need a jacuzzi, overlooking an ocean.
Just sitting there for a week, I would be walking a lot then, I am sure.
First off, what would Luckylu and Gershun do with their pets? An example.
Second, what would Cwillie, and MsMadge do with their Moms? As an example.
Then, what would the others do with their hubs?
Sheesh, this will be hard, even as a fantasy.
That is what I believe.
One is pureed food called Thick & Easy.
The other is food for cancer patients called Vital Cuisine.
Nice to know that companies are taking an interest on how we the caregivers can help with special diets :)
I would like a rabbit one.How could I make ears I wonder........
Ok, guessing, width 25 ft (maybe 50'?), and length was 50 ft (maybe 75'?). A big Olympic size pool, lanes were width, not length. 7 ft. deep.
Those stairs/rail may stop me.
Liking your thumb with the thumbs up!
When AC changes the hugs selection, it would be a nice "hug" to have. It would cheer people up!
Lady my age arriving as we are leaving after 1/2 hour. She says, "I come here 5 times a week, and used to do 40 laps."
"Well, it's our first time, I did 2 laps", I said. "How many laps can you do now?" Really, I am thinking less than 40 now, getting older........
She says: "Now I do 77 laps".
oh.
Do you think she was confabulating? Are 77 laps possible? For anyone?
Mwah ha ha ha! I'm right on it!
BTW, how to get out of the pool going up those thin steps, not really able to pull myself
up by the hand rails and steps. Maybe I should start in the kiddie pool, but there is pee in there.
All this for only $4. y a y ?
You are surrounded by a whole lot of compassionate people on this forum. Many have lost their loved ones after being a caregiver, like you. Since your loss is recent, it is also amazing how much you are lovingly reaching out at a time of deep loss, shock, and grief for you.
Thank you for what you said about me, I feel blessed. It is easier for me to reach out to Luckylu since I have already known her since before her Mom passed. So, knowing a bit about what she went through, I am more comfortable.
Your concerns are also important to me. Anytime you want to private message to me, I will read it and get back to you. I see you doing all the right things suggested by everyone to get through this difficult time, I see your posts, and I am 'following you'.
It just takes some more time as each person's experience is different, and personal.
You are very kind to mention what you did. Thank you!
I wish I could be surrounded by people with your deep compassion and understanding. Your words are always so comforting. We are all blessed to have you on this forum.
Dear Luckylu,
I second everything that Send has said. You are an amazing daughter. If I had a daughter I would want her to be like you.
It seems like just a little while ago when your Mom went to heaven. You are the best daughter for keeping her memory alive in all you do and say about her. For bringing her memory flowers, for thinking about her, for keeping her place in your heart, always.
Happy 2nd birthday in heaven, Luckylu's Mom. You are missed by your loving daughter.
Remembered.
Happy Birthday to your Mom today! Taking a moment for that dear lady at her age!
Respect. Good wishes and congratulations!
These happenings are very disturbing to everyone, especially to pet lovers.
However, you do need to put it out of your mind by taking extra good care of the pets in your care, keeping them safe, loving them. Keep your mind focused on the live pets, then re-focus again, for your health.
