Receive Invoice showing daily charge for pressure bed for mom's bedsores
from being bed ridden, unable to move herself.
She is 94, was just moved from ASL. After several falls, to Rehab now, Nursing home, same facility.
What might other options be. What was your experience?
You need to check with Medicare and Medicaid as to whether they are paying for or are willing to pay for this type of bed in the facility that your Mom is in. It is possible that Medicare paid for the bed while your Mom was classified as a "Skilled Rehab", but then Medicare (or Medicaid) might not pay for the bed once your Mom is classified as "Long Term Care/Nursing Home Resident".
It is a lot! It the cost of a new car, for a air mattress (Being over simplistic)
Today one does not know with medical! I had a prescription order for 90 pills cost was $12,000 if you bought name brand $6 if generic:(
