Find Care & Housing
Just an opinion here. The time to start worrying about diet and Dementia is when we are born. We should always eat as healthy as possible. We should exercise. No smoking not excessive drinking. Keep our minds learning new things. Not wait until Dementia has been diagnoised and say "I am going to eat healthier". Not saying that a good diet may not help with cognitivity but its not going to cure Dementia. Once tge damage to the brain is done, there is no going back.

Dr Perlmutter used to be an advisor for Aging Care. Not sure if he still is. I have read several of his books. I more closely followed Dr Mark Hyman’s “Blood Sugar Solution”. I have a diabetic husband. I found they made similar recommendations. Dr Hyman a little more restrictive.
I have Dr Perlmutter’s new book “Drop Acid” where he makes recommendations for lowering uric acid. I am hoping to get started on that at some point.
Are you following one of Dr. P’s books?
As far as I know he doesn’t have a book for dementia per se.
He is a neurologist and a nutritionist if I’m not mistaken.

I don't think the site really has experts any more, all the articles and expert advice is from years ago and is simply given an updated date stamp and recycled, they haven't published anything new in years (unfortunately)
