Hi Sad821
Yes and yes. Elders fall. Having said that ask for your LO to have an evaluation by a physical therapist. Make sure BP is being managed and any other health issue or medication that might cause dizziness. Check for dehydration. Many things can cause one to be unsteady.

Watch out, though, as someone may urge you to get a pacemaker installed. See article USA TODAY 03- 05 -18, FRONT PAGE "when do not resuscitate is disregarded". Describes penchant for surgery to emplace devices including pacemakers and defibrillators. At all advanced ages!!

I had a recent bout of falling frequently, for a couple of weeks. (I have the bruises to prove it.) You know what it turned out to be? A uti! My husband fell often. It was his dementia. My mother's falls were related to weakness.

So, yes and yes, and maybe something else.

Thank you all. Your answers are most helpful. I know my MIL has dementia. She has had many hallucinations of me breaking into her house and stealing things, switching things out for other things. She has frequent UTI’s as well. I’m trying to make my husband see the type of help she needs. They think it’s only physical. I am the only one she gets vicious with.
