What a dreadful dilemma, and so many in our country in this fix. People walk miles to get to RAM (Rural Medical outreach charity) for dental care. Do you have any friends who can assist with shopping and getting places. I would go to your own doctor because the infection that is potential in these teeth could cause you to run into serious hospitalizations; it is so shortsighted on our country's part not to do preventative medicine. I hope someone out there is more knowledegable than I am and can give you better advice. If you are asking what I would do, at this point I would go to Emergency room as this is now a medical, not a dental procedure needed. I would let them know that the pain is unbearable, even to the point of causing suicidal ideation, and I would use every single excuse I could think of, even to lies, to get their attention. I see that you are able to access the computer. Do you do social media. Do you have, say, a large group of Facebook friends, or other sites? Could you start a gofundme drive for dental care, because I see people all the time getting money for DOGS, let alone to save their own lives. My heart goes out to you. I hope you will update us.

Try the New Orleans Health Department ((504) 658-2785) or the New Orleans Dream Center - HealthREACH ((504) 451-7965); both provide dental care including extractions for free or on a income base fee. Your Area Council on Aging ((504) 658-2785) should be able to find some affordable transportation services for you and help you with SNAP benefits and/or transportation to the food banks.
