Saw a pamphlet about the step in tub she had the salesman come to her home.he did not explain the whole. the tub was instaled phamlet to her she liked the tub and wrote a check for half down the tub was insuled and she was given the book on it to read when she read she needed to consult her doctor if she had high blood prussure and on heart meds so that scared her and she decided she didn,t want the tub as she was afraid of it. she requested the sales person to come back as the tub was coming on by it,s self with no water in itmaking a loud humming noise. when he arrived he couldn,t turn the tub off he called the owner and he said they would give her the tub she wanted but could not get the balance of her money back. he never told her the tub was faulty he said it would 2 to 3 weeks to get the differend tub which that time is up and not a word from him.i am hoping someone can help her on this issue. feel free to contact me on your responce my name is dottie and she asked me to help her. she is a vet retired from the us navy.
Mine has air jets. They come on automatically a certain length of time after they have been in use and shut off. This is to clear out any water in them. The first time I used them, drained the water, and got out of the tub, I was very puzzled and worried when they came back on all by themselves! But that is how they are supposed to work! They also shut off automatically.
Is this the kind of "trouble" your friend is having with her tub?
I think consulting the doctor is about using the jets, not about using the tub itself. I think your friend should simply ask her doctor is there is any reason she shouldn't use the jets.
I absolutely love my walk-in tub. They are quite expensive, aren't they?, and your friend should be able to use hers and get pleasure from it. I hope you can help her get satisfaction. Try calling the tub manufacturer directly.
Let us know how this gets resolved.
